Before I go into the topic of today’s blog I would just like to say that this upcoming presidential election is very important! Not just the presidential election but elections at the local and state level as well! Don’t be persuaded by ignorance! Current events are important and it’s important that you are aware of what’s going on in the country! These things like education and healthcare affect us all! I want a better America for everyone especially our children who are our future! Do not let anyone tell you voting isn’t important because it is! Lets vote and continue to pray for our president and our country!
OK NOW ON TO SOME HAIR TALK
Many people always ask me how does my hair grow so long so fast? Well the answer is very long to be honest! There are a few things that must be done in order for hair growth to occur. Now your hair grows at least an inch every month anyways, but you have to do things to keep your hair healthy and from breakage! So I am going to give you some tips that will indeed help your hair growth! Keep in mind that everyone’s hair is different. It will take some people longer than others to get the length they may want! So here we go:
• Deep condition at least once a week.
•Moisturize your hair EVERYDAY! – this is probably the most important! This includes weaves also. If you are wearing a weave you need to find a moisturizer and moisturize your roots. There are plenty of moisturizers out there. Embrace them!
• Keep your hair hydrated. Spray it with water at least once a day.
•STAY AWAY FROM HEAT! I can not stress enough how important this is. If you wash your hair on Monday, blow dry it and flat iron it, no reason you should pick up a flat iron again that week. After the first day of flat ironing you can pin curl it up or put your hair in Bantu knots to keep your curls from falling. You can also roll your hair. Do any of those things just don’t flat iron it everyday!
•Detangle your hair everyday.
• Eat well! People do not think about this when it comes to hair grow. But you are what you eat. Drink plenty of water and try to avoid eating a lot of fried foods.
• Clip your ends at least every six months.
• Sleep in a satin or silk scarf/head wrap. Or sleep on satin/silk pillow cases.
• Do not pull your hair tight. I do not recommend wearing elastic around your hair but we all have lazy days. If you choose to wear a rubber band or something only wrap it around your hair once or twice.
I’ve seen some miracles happen with some people but you must take care of your hair and be patient! Do these things and you are sure to see your hair grow much more!
